IOTech provides a range of edge software capabilities including a productized and value-add EdgeX implementation, real-time extensions to EdgeX, and advanced device and cloud connectivity services – all designed to simplify and fast-track edge solution development. IOTech now also provide flexible and scalable technology for the management and deployment of hardware nodes and their edge software applications – making it a straightforward task to manage and orchestrate the whole edge solution.

What products or services does your company/organization offer?

Edge Central is a fully productized, commercially supported EdgeX implementation. The product includes a range of additional value-add features and capabilities over and above the baseline open-source technology. This includes extensive southbound device connectivity for a range of industrial OT protocols (Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA, Siemens S7, EtherNet/IP, and many others) as well as out-of-the-box two-way connectivity to IT systems and the major cloud vendors (AWS, Microsoft, Google, IBM, etc). Other value-add features include additional options for storage, visualization, analytics and security, together with advanced tooling to accelerate the development, deployment and administration of the solution.

Edge Connect is a lightweight edge computing platform that extends the EdgeX core platform capabilities to run in low latency, real-time or severely resource-constrained environments. Edge Connect enables extremely fast data acquisition, data processing and is ultra-lightweight compared to the regular EdgeX platform. Edge Connect provides a rich set of OT device connectors that can be accessed directly or utilized by Edge Central.

Edge Manager is a comprehensive edge management and orchestration product. Edge Manager can deploy and manage EdgeX, Edge Central and Edge Connect (as well as other third-party software) with flexibility and at great scale. Edge Manager manages both the edge hardware nodes and the applications that run on those nodes.

Expertise and consultancy services focusing on helping users learn, adopt, develop and deploy EdgeX-based solutions. IOTech Professional Services include training, workshops and technical support, along with packages relating to the collaborative design, implementation and testing of all aspects of EdgeX technology.
